Jason Sellers
University of California, Berkeley
After five rewarding years working in schools, Jason is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education at the University of California, Berkeley. His current research interests include language and literacy, networked learning communities, and educational measurement and psychometrics. Prior to working with teachers, Jason taught high school English at East Palo Alto Phoenix Academy in East Palo Alto, California, and at a rural high school in Staunton, Illinois. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
Jasonfirst became involved with the Cultural Landscapes Collaboratory in 2009 through his work as a teacher consultant with the Piasa Bluffs Writing Project. Much of his teacher-research has focused on examining the intersection of pedagogy and technology. Technology should be seamlessly interwoven into the fabric of the curriculum to facilitate increased opportunities for communication, collaboration, and ubiquitous learning opportunities. The CoLab is Jason's way to connect with teachers, administrators, and my community.
