In 2013, CoLab leaders, and, Dean Carole Basile of the College of Education at University of Missouri-St. Louis were invited to participate in a conference celebrating Creative Confidence, a book that d.School founder David Kelley and his brother, Tom, had just published.

 

The 2 day visit involved learning with local educators using design-thinking to improve and innovate school learning cultures. The visit also involved discussions with David Kelley, and the d.School's Susie Wise, centered on how colleges of education could thrive by building spaces within them for educational innovations.
